Position Title: Strategic Alliance Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 
Exciting Pre-IPO company seeks strong revenue generator to work with high profile Alliance Partner.
Act as evangelist and provide sales staff with tools to hunt and close key clientele.
Manage all aspects of key partner alliance in the field; spend maximum
time at alliance partner's corporate headquarters communicating
Corporate values to management and sales force.

Work with Strategic Partner to increase their awareness, product
knowledge, and efficiencies in selling and understanding Company
Solutions, including products, training, and professional services.

Key point of contact from a product perspective on how to position and
sell the product though the partner. Determine key winners within
partner sales force and actively assist in all sales activities. Help
close deals.
Provide sales training and mentoring on products to the partner sales
force.
Coordinate all sales activities including all tools, collateral,
presentations etc that will be required by Alliance partner sales
force to successfully position product.
Develop and review quarterly a Territory Business Plan to meet or
exceed revenue quota.
Actively manage pipeline of opportunities through the partner with a
goal of meeting strict revenue objectives
Manage and coordinate to solve any and all operational, support, and
product issues between partner and Company. Escalate where necessary.
Communicate new Product releases and policy changes to the alliance
partner.
Be responsible for forecasting, tracking, and reporting of all sales
activities with alliance Partner in North America.

Provide timely information and updates to the VP of Alliances.
Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.



QUALIFICATIONS:

Five years proven ability solving business problems and managing alliance relationships within a software environment.
3 year track record of driving revenue and managing day to day activities of alliance partners in the field.
Strong selling abilities; success and experience at previous companies.
Storage knowledge required preferably backup software.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as outstanding overall presentation skills to both large and small
audiences.
Strong negotiator in complex sales with ability to close deals under favorable terms.
Ability to develop, manage and maintain accurate sales forecast for assigned territory.
Experience with ROI/TCO value selling models.

Sales process experience within a leading storage or software company is a plus.
Must be able to demonstrate and discuss all Corporate products, and competing products, proficiently enough to differentiate, define value
propositions, and close business.
Self starter who takes the initiative to learn and is a problem solver.

Computer skills: SalesLogix, (or CRM tool), Internet infrastructure, MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point. Knowledge of all major operating
systems.

Good understanding of alliance business cultures - ideally backed by practical experience.
Articulate and capable of communicating clear strategic messages.
Must be highly motivated with high energy and a good work ethic.
Capable of prioritizing multiple projects and working effectively in an unstructured work environment.
Must be detail oriented in project management.

Bachelors Degree required



DESIRED:

Disaster recovery knowledge is a plus.
