Position Title: IT Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

One of the most innovative entertainment companies on the planet is seeking a Sr. IT Manager to join their team.

IT manager is responsible for analyzing and directing all IT related activities of the studio.

This position is responsible for the supervision of all staff within the Site IT department.

This position is accountable for ensuring continuity of computer services and the day to day operations of the studio from the technology perspective.

The position will accomplish these objectives through strong planning, technical leadership and project management and coordination.

The IT manager will be responsible for the security of Intellectual Property within the organization through the development of, and adherence to existing standard operating procedures and policies. The position will be responsible for developing and maintaining comparative metrics on the various aspects of technological support within the organization.

Responsibilities:

Management of IT Employees

Technical Leadership Relationship Development and Management: Studio, Site Business Units, other IT Service Lines, Vendors, etc. Documentation 

• Directly Manage the site Desktop and Infrastructure environment

• Directly Manage Site Desktop and Infrastructure Teams

• Align priorities of teams with overall priorities of the organizaiton, site, Global IT and company as a whole

• Set goals and objectives

• Coach and grow employees

• Recruit, hire and discipline employees as necessary Technological Leadership

• Drive Technology learning and usage within the department and studio

• Lead the evaluation, implementation and support of technology within the studio

• Project management/coordination on technical projects

• Forecast resources (budget, assets and/or personnel) for projects as required for IT operations

• Stay abreast of the latest developments in IT technology and remain highly technical

• Prepares long and short term plans for the Site IT Team and acquisition of the resources and needs to support them, assuring alignment to long term studio objectives

• Develop means to capture and analyze data based on developing metrics for support Documentation

• Responsible for development of technological use policies

• Responsible for maintenance of all procedures and process within IT department

• Act as liaison between Site IT, Business Stakeholders and Global IT Functions

• Partner with Business Stakeholders to understand their respective business unit goals

• Form and engage in collaborative relationship with supporting global service lines such as Service Desk and Service Operations

• Establish and maintain working relationships with key vendors

Scope of the Position

This position is responsible for running all aspects of Site IT.

Ultimately, it is responsible for the functionality, security, reliability and performance of all technology specific to the site and studio.

Through the desktop and infrastructure teams and in partnership with Global IT, it will implement, manage and maintain all technology within the site and studio.

This individual will be the face of IT

– The point of contact and ultimate owner for all IT related projects and initiatives on the site. In this respect, this person will establish a close working relationship with the site’s Studio Executives, Directors and its Producers.

This person will be responsible for developing methods to identify and communicate studio IT needs to senior management and assist in addressing and prioritizing these needs.

Key aspects of the position focus on planning, executing and growing the site and studio, including desktop support, telecom, networking, server infrastructure.

In addition, this individual will partner with other Global IT groups to leverage initiatives from other studios. The IT Manager will assist in leading local implementation of applications development tools and services and will share information and insight from the site in the course of collaborating with other studios and service lines. The IT manager will ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by understanding and identifying customer needs, building and maintaining strong working relationships and delivering IT services in a timely manner. This position requires significant skills in IT project, budget and employee management. The IT manager will build metrics and documentation for the analysis of performance against implemented technologies and employees. They will have vast experience with cutting edge technologies in a fast paced demanding environment.

Qualifications

Requires 10 or more years of experience in all aspects of IT

• Requires 3-5 years of experience in the management of IT

• Experience with establishing and maintaining process, procedure and policy

• Experience managing/coordinating projects in a support environment

• Extensive knowledge of current Microsoft Office products

• Experience with IT Service Management Tools

• Experience with Document Management Systems/methodology

Other Qualifications and/or Requirements:

• ITIL experience

• Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work with varied staff members and personalities • Proactive, assertive, self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented

• Creative and objective disposition with strong problem solving skills

• Ability to handle high pressure situations and prioritize multiple projects

• Excellent customer service and support skills

• Ability to express oneself efficiently and effectively in both written and verbal communication

EDUCATION:

• BS degree or equivalent work experience
