Our client is seeking a very top-level M.E. with strong experience with dams/hydropower systems design - that's a MUST-have.

The bigger the dam, the better. Also international dam experience is a must.

The successful candidates will work with a multi-discipline group of engineers and technicians providing technical services to public and private sector clients.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary duties are expected to include power plant system design and studies to support mechanical plant systems, including building service and plant dewatering systems, auxiliary systems for hydroelectric power plant, pumping plants and renewable power developments, preparation and review of mechanical equipment specifications, power plant mechanical system feasibility studies, due diligence reviews for asset transfer, condition assessment of mechanical equipment, and supervision of mechanical equipment installation, repairs and tests. Applicant must have experience with balance of plant equipment and auxiliary mechanical systems for hydroelectric and pumping plants.

Applicant shall work in a manner to ensure personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies. Supervisory responsibility will include leading department staff or teams of engineers and designers as well as training and mentoring staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Professional Engineer registration, or equivalent (or ability to obtain within 12 months).

A minimum of 10 years of related experience in power projects

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and related mechanical and piping engineering software.

Demonstrated ability in preparation of mechanical engineering work products, including drawings, diagrams, specifications, bills of materials, and reports

Excellent team building and communications skills required

International and domestic travel required.

Written and spoken fluency in English. Multiple languages are preferred but not required.


EDUCATION:
* BS degree in Mechanical Engineering. Advanced degree preferred.
